I've got two Linksys e3000's, both with tomato-E3000USB-1.28.9054MIPSR2-beta-Ext:
#1 is connected to WAN internet.
Wireless mode is Access Point + WDS on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands (with separate SSID's). Works perfectly.
#2, I'd like to have as a wireless repeater without having to run an ethernet cable from router #1.
I've followed the Tomato FAQ's WDS guide meticulously, but I still don't know what's wrong.
Here are my configurations:
Router #1: goo[DOT]gl/GKNgs
Router #2: goo[DOT]gl/HS9a2
As soon as I save Router #2's settings, the router restarts and I cannot get a connection to it's Tomato admin area nor to the internet, with wifi or ethernet. I have to do a 30/30/30 reset on Router #2 and start over again.
Is this because:
- The firmware/router doesn't support WDS?
- One of my settings is incorrect?
- WDS doesn't work with dual-band routers?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
