Been doing some reading about wifi security and wanted to calibrate here with some knowledgeable users. What are best practices for securing a home wifi network?
Can tomatousb switch off my broadcasting based on a schedule (for example, no need to be "on" after 10 PM)?
From what I have read, the best practice is: WPA2/personal with AES encryption and using a strong (mixed alpha/num/sym) 64 character password. What else? False sense of securities include: MAC filtering, SSID hiding which is actually a security risk, and WEP-based encryption.
