Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I recently started using Symantec Endpoint as part of a free home use program from work. I really like how it was not very intrusive and seemed to work well.
That all changed when I loaded v1.28.0495 MIPSR2-Toastman-VLAN-RT-N K26 USB VPN on my RT-N16. The two computers I had symantec loaded on experienced frequent access issues lasting 2-3 minutes in which they had no network access at all. After some research I found this to be an issue with IPv6 protocol. Symantec endpoint (at least the version work provided me) did not recognize this as normal traffic but instead flagged it as "port scanning" and would periodically block my RT-N16 for 60-90 Seconds. I researched more online and found this to be a common problem with other symantec users.
just wanted to post my experience incase anyone else has similar issues. this occurred on a wired and wireless client and has since become a non existent problem since uninstalling symantec
