The (generalized) question (as I understand it) might be put this way:
"How can a Tomato router on the Net communicate data to be saved on a host on the Net?"
How can this be done with minimal privileges on such a host, minimal cost, and minimal effort, using available tools?
There are free mail servers, free web servers, free file servers, etc. are there any (free?) syslog servers?
Can we send periodical status reports (rather than quasi-realtime, as in syslog)?
1. We do not have the use of an always-online host on the LAN. (Other than the router itself.)
2. We do not have root access to an always-online host on the Net.
3. We do not have shell access to an always-online host on the Net. (Well, maybe.)
4. We can't use mail.
