I have configured OpenVPN on 1.28.7495 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN with the intention of streaming primarily audio to my Android mobile via 3G using the built in minidlna.
I am very new to VPN's, this is the first one I have setup so am looking for some assistance to make devices visible upon connection.
I followed the guide here: http://www.howtogeek.com/60774/connect-to-your-home-network-from-anywhere-with-openvpn-and-tomato/ and have successfully connected via VPN. My devices appear on the subnet 10.8.0.0. I didn't initially think this would be an issue, as minidlna sits on the router itself which I can access via VPN, however I cannot see this. Additionally, I cannot connect to my samba shares or see any of my Windows machines that are on the 192.168.1.* subnet.
My initial approach would be to change the subnet which the VPN sits on to 192.168.1.* so that when I connect it sits in the same subnet as my other devices, however I am struggling to achieve this in the web interface, when I set the VPN subnet to 192.168.1.0, I loose all access to the router and Internet from any device (local and remote).
Any help appreciated so I can access my samba shares and minidlna.
