I have a Netgear WNR3500L/U/v2 running Tomato Firmware v1.28.7474 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN-NOCAT. My printer is a Lexmark 7100 Series multi-function printer (X7170). I have tried getting this to work on both Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit but somehow I'm not having any success.
There are several tutorials out there on how to do this and unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty confident that it's being set up correctly. I have added the printer as a local printer using a RAW TCP/IP port that points to my router's IP address (mine is set to 10.10.10.1) on port 9100. The router shows the correct printer connected to the USB on host "lp0". However when I send a test page, it stays in the printer queue. If I plug another printer (I tried an even older HP Deskjet 656c), it prints.
So I guess the problem is the printer driver itself. Any other ideas on how to get this printer to work would be greatly appreciated. I have exhausted all means and cannot find other alternate drivers (the printer works fine when installed directly in the PC's USB port). Thanks a lot.
