I want to be able to grab my daily usage history off of the router. I want to parse the data and shove it into a widget that periodically updates and displays the information.
Does rstats have a function that spits the data out in plain text that i can run from command line? If it does that makes the job easy. I can just read the data out of the ssh session using the cat command.
If it doesn't I was thinking of creating a temporary ftp server and then sshing into the system and running the ftpput command to pull /tmp/var/lib/misc/rstats-history.gz (since from looking at various scripts ftput seems to be installed on the system). I found C++ code that can parse the file.
I'll be looking through the rstats code in the meanwhile to try and fish the answers out.
