Tomato Firmware: v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta E3000 USB Ext
Router: Cisco/Linksys E3000
Printer: HP Deskjet D4160
I installed this firmware the other day, and so far so good. One issue that I have been completely unable to figure out though: Printer colors.
- When printing from my Windows 7 computer to the printer connected through the router, the colors are wrong.
- When printing from my Mac OS X computer to the printer connected through the router, the colors are correct.
- When printing from either computers to the printer connected directly through USB, the colors are correct.
What I mean by "wrong colors". Red is pink, blue is purple, green is dark yellow, and yellow doesn't really show up.
Everything I have found so far has suggested that it might be the printer cartridge, but that cannot be it since the printer does print fine when the job is sent from OSX, and when it's connected directly.
My next thought is that it could be a driver issue, but the same Windows driver prints perfectly when the printer is connected directly.
I guess something is getting lost in the translation when the print job is sent from the Windows machine through the router to the printer. It could be a Windows driver issue, although I cannot imagine what the issue could be. Or, it could be an issue with the firmware. Any suggestions?
Note: Same issue with DD-WRT v24-16785 when I tried it, but it had even further presumably unrelated issues with the printer.
