I'm currently having some problems connecting to my router (ASUS RT-N16) via FTP from WAN.
Whenever I try to connect to FTP from WAN, I get the following error:
Status: Resolving address of [my hostname] Status: Connecting to [my external ip address]:port Error: Connection timed out Error: Could not connect to server
If I forward the port (not required from what I've read in other threads here but I tried it anyway) I get the following output:
Status: Resolving address of [my hostname] Status: Connecting to [my external ip address]:port... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Response: 220 (vsFTPd 2.3.2) Command: USER public Response: 331 Please specify the password. Command: PASS ****** Response: 230 Login successful. Command: OPTS UTF8 ON Response: 200 Always in UTF8 mode. Status: Connected Status: Retrieving directory listing... Command: PWD Response: 257 "/" Command: TYPE I Response: 200 Switching to Binary mode. Command: PASV Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,1,1,126,101). Status: Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using server address instead. Command: LIST Error: Connection timed out Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
I've tried changing pretty much every setting on the FTP page along with rebooting the router to no avail. I've also triple-checked that I've set the 'enable FTP server' box to 'Yes, WAN and LAN'.
I am not using any QoS rules that may conflict with FTP, and I have no port forwards that will conflict (I've since removed the port forward I used in an attempt to diagnose).
The version of TomatoUSB I am running is Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta K26 USB vpn3.6
The client I was using was Filezilla on Windows 7
This is the only issue I've encountered so far - I'm very happy with everything else!
If you need any more information from me please ask.
Thanks if anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction.
