This is the first time I'm trying tomato. After some missteps, I managed to load tomato usb onto a new Asus RT-N16. Internet is through cable, so I used DHCP for WAN. I can get to the router (192.168.1.1) in the browser and see all the settings. However, I'm not able to get to sites like google.com, yahoo.com, etc. Ping returns nothing. However, if I ping the IP address, I was able to get a response, so internet is connected. So, it seems like some kind of DNS problem. I tried going through all the different options but wasn't sure what needs to be done. In my other Linksys WRT56G stock firmware, it has an option to use DNS from the DHCP server.
Is something missing from my configuration? What settings do I need?
I'm so close to unleashing the power of tomato.
