I'm using tomato version 9054 on my E3000 and trying to connect a USB mouse. I basically want an input so that I could connect my alarm system to the E3000 so that when the alarm goes off, it will send me an email/text message. I can wire a relay to the alarm siren output and hack a mouse to short the mouse button.
I downloaded the optional kernal modules from this site and did a "insmod" for input-core.ko, hid.ko and usbhid.ko. When I plug in a USB mouse, I don't see a character device in /dev/input, like you would within a normal linux system. Normally, I could just "cat" the device and whenever the mouse is moved or a button pressed, characters would appear. What I see in /dev are files like usbdev2.1, usbdev2.2, etc…, but I can't cat those devices.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
