Im having a problem with dnsmasq. I have my router working as a VPN client. I have a VPN tunnel open to another network. I want to use DNS servers provided by my ISP to all my DNS requests with the exception of hosts in my local domain.
So let's assume all my local hosts (in my network or in the other network via VPN) have names like xxx.example.com. I have added the line:
in web-GUI where you can add extra lines to dnsmasq.conf. Now if I telnet to my router and take a look at /etc/dnsmasq.conf, I can see the line in the conf-file. I can reboot the router and still see it in the conf-file. However, if I run command:
in my Windows PC, it cannot resolv the host. If I run:
nslookup foo.example.com 10.0.0.1
it resolves the hostname just fine. So I can use the DNS server on the other end of the VPN tunnel, but for some reason dnsmasq won't forward requests to that server. Can anyone help me please?
