What version of firmware? 7486+ ??
Don't seen this here very often these days except with Apple and Intel wireless devices. A few things to check - start by turning off all encryption to eliminate that as the problem, and see if they can connect. Are they receiving an IP address by DHCP? Can they connect OK if you set a static IP in their wireless config? Look at the laptops and see if they have power management enabled, that is often a source of problems (especially Intel). Turn off APSD mode on the router too. Try turning on/off Wireless Interference Mitigation. Check the channel you are on can be seen by the 2 laptops. Don't use AUTO channel selection, set to 1,6, or 11. Offer a sacrifice to the gods.

Go to 20Mhz mode. My laptop with an Intel Wireless card was flaky with my N16 and going to 20 Mhz made it play nice.
