I set up a Linksys E1000v1 router as a Wireless Ethernet Bridge using the recommended version of TomatoUSB a few days ago.
I have a PK5000 DSL modem (192.168.0.1 default) connected to a Zyxel wireless router (192.168.1.1 default) set up to broadcast the signal.
I originally had the E1000 set up as 192.168.1.2 to receive the wireless signal, then transmit it to a wired port on a Panasonic Bluray player. It worked great for about 36 hours, now the Bluray player says that it can see the home network, but cannot obtain an IP address to gain internet access.
I tried to access the E1000 through the wireless network from my computer, but 192.168.1.2 fails to connect to anything and I'm not sure what other ip address might work for it.
I can always wire the E1000 back to the computer to access it, but eventually I will need to put it back as a remote wireless bridge. I don't know why it would work fine then just randomly stop. Do I need to setup the Bluray player to have a static IP? It's now set up to automatically obtain an IP, connection speed, etc.
I've set up DD-WRT on one other router before, then this one, so I have one toe in the water but still a newbie. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
