Hey there guys. Before I start with my issue, I just want to say how awesome the Tomato firmware is. I have just recently started exploring some of the advanced features, and I'm sure you guys know a lot more then I do. I also want to say networking is the bane of my exsistance, and Tomato has made it quite a bit better. So thank you =)
Now, I started off playing with a DNLA server using the built in USB port on my E3000, and an external hard drive. Works like a charm. Just wish iTunes would work with it, since I prefer the layout of it, but hey, WMP isn't too bad either.
Afterwards, I decided to also set-up an FTP server. Now heres where my real issue is. The server works perfectly on my home network if I use the local IP of the router (aka 192.168.1.1) BUT if I try and access it remotely using my home IP addres, it can't connect. Now I'm not even sure where the issue is, because when I do try and connect using this method, nothing appears on the logs for attempted connections, even though I have that enabled.
I'm thinking there's a possibility that it's because I'm using the same router and trying to access it remotely even though I'm at home, but that shouldn't be an issue, right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you =)
