I've tried to setup the advanced routing on them so that they can talk to each other, but router 1 doesn't see router 2 in the routing tables (router 2 does however have references to router 1 in the routing table). Router 1 is set up so that it's destination is 192.168.2.0, subnet is 255.255.255.0, and gateway is 192.168.2.1 on LAN interface in the advanced routing. While Router 2 is set up to use 192.168.1.0, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.1 on LAN. Am I doing this right?
The reason for this wonky setup is so that my roommate can have his own IP address. This is working now (the separate IP's, not the routing), but we would like to network our computers together. If there is an easier way (or better way) of doing this I would love to hear about it.
Any help would be appreciated.
(Router 1 is a Linksys E2000 on Tomato
Router 2 is a Netgear WNR3500L also on Tomato)
