I used to use Netgear WNR3500L with stock firmware. It did not have internet access issue. However, because I want better QoS, I checked out the latest Toastman-RT firmware source code (version 1.28.7479) and compiled it into tomato-K26USB_1.28_MIPSR2_xxx_Ext.trx. I then
followed the following two threads to install Tomato firmware:
Firmware installation was successful. I saw a lot of great features in Tomato firmware, especially in Qos section. I like the firmware very much.
However, I noticed that I don't have internet access any longer. I googled a lot, but did not find any post that fit my case.
I went to 192.168.1.1 and log into the router. In the overview page,
the WAN part has the normal IP address 22.214.171.124 and connection type is DHCP. However,
all other parameters (gatway, DNS, subnet mask) for WAN are listed in "Previous WAN IP" part. BTW, the previous gateway was 126.96.36.199, previous DNS were 10.248.2.1:53, 10.3.86.116:53, 10.19.1.4:53, the previous subnet mask was 255.255.255.0. In addition, the status is "connected".
In the LAN section, router IP address is 192.168.1.1, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, and DHCP is 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.149.
I checked the advanced/routing page, and see mode is "gateway" and "DHCP routes" is checked and RIPv1&v2 is disabled.
Could any of you give me some suggestion/comments on how to fix this "no internet" issue? Many thanks!!
