- Asus RT-N16
- v1.28.7479 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN-NOCAT
I was not having any luck searching for the solution in the forums. If I did overlook it. I do apologize.
I have been using the v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta K26 USB vpn3.6 and I was able to enter in a host address in the VPN Tunneling\Client\VPN Client Configuration\Client 1\Basic\Server Address/Port.
I wanted to test out the newer build of the firmware. I enable "after flashing, erase all data in NVRAM memory" as a good practice when flashing a new firmware. As I started to enter in the information I would get an error after entering a host name in the client vpn configuration. It would only accept a blank entry or a valid IP address format, but not a valid host address as it once did in the old firmware. As I use a dyndns service, I am not able to enter an IP address in there that would be permanent. If it is not a bug, then I would like to request that feature please be put back in. Thank you.

I tried these other firmware and it doesn't work either. There maybe an bug introduced in the git from earlier.
