I have 2xE2000s on a Wireless Ethernet Bridge using Wireless N 5GHz only. Thats up and running fine. However, I want to add a WRT54GL to the mix to brodcast a Wireless G signal so my Wi-Fi capable devices(iPhone,Droid2Global) can also use Wi-Fi. None of them can use N 5GHz, and if I drop the bridge to 2.4 GHz, my file transfer, via ftp) come to a crawl. So I want to connect the WRT54GL to the primary E2000. I tired to set this up myself, but even though I could connect to the WRT54GL using my D2G, I couldnt actually browse the internet. I set the 54GL to a Router IP of 192.168.1.3 since 192.168.1.1 is my primary, and 192.168.1.2 is my secondary E2000.Subnet of 255.255.255.0 and WINS is set to 192.168.1.1. The 54GL was set to DHCP for connection type. Can some one tell me what I might need to alter to get my Wireless G working?
I assume you are using a wired connection from 54GL to the 1.1.861.291|0002e#1.1.861.291|0002e. If so, the wired connection should be LAN to LAN port.
On the 54GL, WAN type Disabled, Def Gateway and Static DNS both 192.168.1.1 assuming the last is providing DNS. Uncheck everything on Advanced>DHCP/DNS page in the Server section.
Thanks, I am all set up and ready to go now! Thanks a million now some of my other devices Android/iPhone/Wii,etc can connect using Wireless G. Not as good as Wireless N, but it works!
Any suggestions for a cheap Wireless N router capable of using TomatoUSB?
EDIT: It was working but now it stopped. :s
