Maybe someone can help me out with this. I'm trying to figure out how I could do this.
I want to create an SSH tunnel from a remote laptop in to my router so that I can access my VNC server on my LAN. I don't want to open ports on my router allowing public access to my VNC server.
Now on a linux machine this is easy, I would simply tunnel the traffic to the server itself over SSH. My issue here is that my VNC server is now on a Windows machine so therefore I would like to see if I could just make use of the fact that my router has the ability to utilize SSH whereas my Windows machine does not.
So what i'm looking to do is just configure Putty to create and SSH tunnel to my router which will then allow me to tunnel my VNC traffic through that tunnel created to the router over to my VNC Server.
It seems like it should be simple enough. I'm just not sure how to go about it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! :-)
