What are some suggestions for a good and safe flash of TomatoUSB on a Linksys E3000? Do I really have to do that 30-30-30 reset dance before flashing the TomatoUSB firmware file?
Thanks. I uploaded the firmware and it just assumed some of the settings that I had before. The only thing I had to do was reconfigure my static DHCP addresses.
If you did not erase NVRAM after you flashed, then just be careful. Strange things can and probably will happen. If so, erase, reconfigure manually (i.e. don't reload your old config) and recheck before going any further.
Tip - This quick and easy method can be used to pick your main settings out of the NVRAM setup and transfer back after an NVRAM erase:
