"Rescan on the next run*" and save.
Tried rescanning so many times and nothing works. So far it only saw a few files from Serviio and was able to playback one video file. I'm on Macbook pro so I tried PS3 server, serviio, rt-n16 built-in server (no optware), and tvmobili but pretty much none of them work, maybe its just bad renderer on Sony bravia
"you can mount a share from NAS as CIFS and set media server directory as /cifs1/…"
I'll still have to try this as I haven't had time to find out what CIFS directory is and how it works. Thanks for suggestion.
This maybe better on new thread but since its all related to the same new Sony TV maybe I'll bring it up here.
My sony (model xbr52lx900) tv disconnects from RT-N16 while streaming a movie from one of the included free streaming movie providers in the tv (cracle).
I've had this router for about 3-4 months and put tomato on it right away. I don't remember my MBP ever losing wifi from Router.
Now, once I enabled the built-in Wifi on TV, it lost wifi 3 times in last 2 days.
The TV has wireless-N built in and I configured it for static address, like all computers on my network.
The connection drop seems to happen only when streaming video as I've done plenty of music streaming from Pandora and it didn't drop it once.
When connection is dropped, I can see the mac address of tv on connected devices in router page but i/p address is not shown and only thing that fixes it is to reboot it from router admin page after which TV connection is re-established.
All router settings are default and no Qos is enabled. I tried 20 and 40 MHz channel width but they perform about the same with Tv.
The connection is pretty strong while TV is streaming a movie of Tx/Rx being 130/117 on device list menu.
Anyone has any suggestions besides a wired connection ?
