The channel wide is set to 40mhz, and n only. All Wireless cards are n compatible. I use different channels. Still can't get the router and wireless card to run at 300mbps. Any suggestion?
Same thing here on my Asus RT-N16. The router doesn't seem to want to push it up to 300N regardless of the security options I use. It was working under 300N with Oleg and the Asus firmware. The highest I'm getting with TomatoUSB is 144 (although the transfer speed is maxing at 35mbps).
IIRC if there is too much noise in all those channels used for 40MHz wide, the radio will automatically revert back to 20MHz wide.
Try setting the channel to auto then reboot, or use inSSIDer to monitor the channel and take one that is free.
