What type of modem/ connection? - have you tried power cycling the modem and/or router? If cable modem does your isp require connected MAC address to be registered, if so try cloning it into router.
I have directly connected cable from ISP to Asus. No special MAC required. If i connect cable to my pc, all good. PC took ip address and have internet connection. But my ruoter could optain ip by dhcp from windows server if its connected.
