I am a tomatousb newb, so go easy. I plug in my HD to my asus rn-16 router and it worked fine. I installed tomato and enabled usb support, file sharing, etc. and I cannot see the drive on my computer. Tomato sees the drive and I mounted it, but it didnt do anything. Can someone provide a very basic step by step instruction to get this working? I am sure it is an easy fix but I am totally new at this. Thanks.

When you say you enabled file sharing can you please give more details? What do you have selected under the "Samba file sharing" section of the "USB and NAS" > "File Sharing" page? Also, what (if anything) shows up in the "Network Shares List" on that page? Under "USB Support" do you have "Automount" checked?
If it helps I have "automount" enabled under USB support, and on the file sharing page I have "Yes - No authentication", autoshare all USB partitions enabled, and I also have "master browser" and "WINS" checked. Also make sure the workgroup name is the same on the router and on the PCs that you are using. I have two shares listed - root$ (which is read-only and hidden) and then my actual shared partition which is read/write.
You don't mention what format your drive is but I recommend Ext3. The downside to Ext3 is that you can't just easily move the drive between your router and a Windows PC (you need to install software on the Windows PC to get it to read the Ext3 format) but the upside is that drive performance when connected to the router will be much better (in some cases you could see speeds up to twice as fast as an NTFS formatted drive).
