My trusty D-link DI-824VUP has been a go-getter for years, but now that I am actually using more than one WiFi client, and transferring lots of data internally (CCTV system w/ AXIS 241Q / 2401 servers), it's showing it's age and limitations.
Looks like the RT-N16 will be wonderful - if I can get a USB frame grabber dongle and the 'motion' engine that I use on Fedora Core 6 at work to run on the router (Vs. a P-III 1Ghz), that'd be SWEET! No more wonderment as to why my UPS packages end up in the potted plants etc…
Either way, I'd like to keep on using my trusty HP Laserjet 6P - it only has a parallel interface, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried to use a USB-Parallel dongle, yet. My laserjet 3P has parallel or serial as options..
I wouldn't mind finding an HP jet-Direct box if I had to; that'd free up a USB port for 'other goodies'.
I'm not used to this forum software, and didn't see a 'search' function, but I'm on an 800X600 display at this point 'til I replace my blown monitor tomorrow, so perhaps I've missed something.
