I just purchased a Linksys E3000 and installed the latest version of the VPN firmware. Everything seems to be working fine except when uploading from a PC wired to the router and an 802.11n wireless client. It's not a major issue but still annoying. As soon as I start the upload, think TV shows or movie files, and after 3-4 seconds it pauses for 30-35 seconds doing nothing then after that completes the copy without fail. A persistent ping during the copy doesn't fail and the same issue occurs when copying from different systems.
I only have 5 GHz enabled (I'm using an Asus WL-520GU for the 2.4 GHz that's wired to the Linksys.) The remote PC has the Linksys WMP600N wireless NIC using the latest copy of the Ralink drivers. All systems involved are running Windows 7 (64-bit from the machines copying to the remote client which is 32-bit.) When copying the files from the remote PC to my primary machines there is no pause and the copy functions as expected. When the copy occurs it's faster than anything I've ever seen over wireless (I get the full 300 speed, nice!) I would just like to get rid of the pause hitch on the initial copy up.
I did have the wireless channel set to auto but have since chosen a specific channel in case this was causing an issue. I'm the only one in the neighborhood running 5GHz so there isn't any conflict. Transmit power is set to what was default, 100mW.
I'm not sure what I should look into now. Any thoughts?
