Hey, is there any good programs for Windows 7 anyone would recommend to format my eHDD to ext3, since TomatoUSB has the best transfer rates with that file system?
I would recommend the boot cd "Redo Backup and Recovery".
http://sourceforge.net/projects/redobackup/
It has GParted on it. Just load the CD then go to [Tools] then [Partition Editor].
Thanks guys, sounds good to me. Just to ask though, since this seems a relatively less painful way to do this, would it be a bad idea to just install an ext3 driver, like 'ext2fsd' and use the windows disk management to format the eHDD?
SystemRescueCD is the best I've found for system maintenance with frequent updates.
Just so everyone's clear, you can partition and format in ext3 right from the router, no other machine needed.

Partition Wizard Home Edition - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
This runs on Windows 7. Freeware : )
I was about to download a live CD to do exactly this.
If there is a couple of commands I can run on the router, I would be far happier.
Would anyone be willing to spend 5 mins on a quick tutorial?
Thanks,
