I've just flashed my brand new Asus RT N16 router with the latest tomato-K26USB-1.28.9054MIPSR2-beta-vpn3.6 firmware. I'm using 12vpn as a vpn provider and it seems I have to restart my router every 30 mns as it loses connectivy after that time.
I can't replicate that problem using my linksys WRT54GL router flashed with the 1.27 TomatoVPN formware and using exactly the same settings.
Am I missing something here?
Could it be related to the power supply of the Asus router (I read somewhere that it was underpowered and might, in some situations, cause the router to behave strangely). I'm on a 100Mbps/5 Mbps cable connection and get an average of 4.5/3.5 Mbps speed connecting to 12vp, through OpenVPN.
Most of the time my router isn't crashed when I have to restart it. When I go to VPN status, it seems to be exchanging data with 12vpn but the computers connecting through it on my LAN don't seem to be able to get on the internet (as if there were connectivity but a problem with DNS servers for instance).
Wireless is set to OFF btw. Only using Ethernet to connect so this is not a radio issue
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
