Hi friends!
I run a type of server on my WNR3500L (using latest tomato USB) that uses 1-2 smartcard-readers that are connected via USB.
I have no problems at all using 1 device and just telling the server to use "ttyUSB0".
The problem occurs when I try to connect 2 readers via a USB-hub (powered). After a random amount of time (1-12h), the server can't connect to the readers (altough it's just complaining about ttyUSB0, not ttyUSB1).
I have tried to run the hub without external power with the same result.
So, is there a way to lock the ID of reader 1 to ttyUSB0 etc? I know this could very well be a standard linus issue, not related to Tomato but I know for sure that I can't use udev to do the job (like I can on my Debian-server).
(I think that would be a good chance of getting rid of my problems)…
:)
