Hello, first time poster.
I have been having battery drain issues with my iPod touch and all signs point to my router/firmware being the problem. For instance, when I go visit my girlfriend for the weekend, my ipod touch keeps enough battery to last 2+ days (wrt-54g original firmware). I then go home for the week and have significant battery drain, even when the unit is not in use. For instance, I have had a full charge, just unplugged before I go to bed. By morning, the unit is completely drained and unable to turn on. The reason I suspect the router/firmware is I can "fix" the power drain issue if I unplug, replug the router every day or so. This is only a temporary fix as the issue then returns in a few days. I have tried resetting my settings, updating firmware ect, but nothing seems to fix this issue. I do not have any weird settings on the router. I have set up static IPs for most of my devices, some port forwarding, and QOS settings. Most other things are default. If there is anything I can provide to help further the cause to a solution, please let me know. PS this is the only negative I have found using this router/firmware for over a year. I never lose connection or wireless signal so I do not think it is a hardware issue as much as a software/firmware one. But who am I to say :) Thanks for reading and hoping for a fix!
