So I've been using the MVPS HOSTS file for a while on my mac but occasionally it causes DirectoryService process to hog CPU so I've decided to do the right thing and move it to the router.
As RT-N16 has lots of ROM I had no problem setting up jffs partition to store the hosts files and I've added the following line to the dnsmasq config thru the web-admin:
Now it works for almost everything, when I do nslookup for any of the domains in the blocked list on my Mac it returns the 127.0.0.1 as it should. However, I'm seeing the google ads now again, even despite:
[~]$ nslookup googleads.g.doubleclick.net
Any ideas why is this happening? I've tried Chrome and Safari and I'm still seeing some ads.
