Here's my setup:
- ASUS RT-N16
- HP Laserjet 1022
- Windows 7 x64
Tomato USB auto-detected my printer with no problem. USB printing is enabled, and I set up the Windows printer server properties. No joy.
Here's my idea/question for making host-based printers:
Since Tomato USB is actually Linux running on the router, (a) would it be possible to install these Linux drivers (or something similar), (b) would it enable printing, and (c) could you give me instructions on how to do it? I'm not afraid of telnet, SSH, or the command line, but I don't know enough about the inner workings to do it myself.
Also, if I've missed something and there's an easy fix for Laserjet 1022 printers and similar, that'd be good to know too.
PS To those working on this project, thanks for a great product. I installed it with ZERO problems, and it's working perfectly.
