The wireless on my netgear WNR 3500L recently stopped functioning (getting speeds of about 5-10 mbit/s to all clients regardless of reboots, etc). I use tomatousb with vpn on this router and I really like the firmware. Obviously, I need to get a new router, or at least some sort of wireless AP.
I have been looking at the linksys E3000 because it seems to be the most powerful router able to run tomato, and I have a few questions.
1) You who use the E3000 with tomato, do you have problems with the wireless? I read online that many people complained about the wireless getting really slow after 24-36 hours, and the router needed a restart to function again. Perhaps that is just with the original firmware and not tomato?
2) Will the E3000 give me better range and speeds than the 3500L on 2,4 GHz?
3) Other solutions to my "problem"?
