New to the world of Tomato and Linux. Just purchased an ASUS RT-N16 router and loaded Tomato. I'm quite please with myself so far, having figured out the printer server and NAS, as well as setting things up so that I can remote into the router using puTTY, power on my computer remotely and RDP (that is so cool).
My latest challenges are to sort out the whole ftp thing, install additional features via optware (e.g. spin down NAS after a period of inactivity) and transfer files from windows to the NAS (formatted ext3). Specific questions:
- How do I go about acessing the NAS via FTP on the WAN? I've set up filezilla the way I think I should but it can't connect (using DDHCP and dyndns plus the UID and password set in tomato). Unable to log in locally as well.
- How do I upload from Windows to the linux portions of the NAS? I think if I figure out #1 that will get me there. I have some optware uilities to load.
- Is there a site the provides a good optware tutorial?
Thank you in advance for any help.
