I would like to manually fsck my HD, because it will take forever to check 1 TB drive with Asus WL-500g P. How to prevent the automatic fsck?
And to answer my first question:
tune2fs -c 0 -i 0 /dev/sda2
-c sets the maximum counts (0 disable)
-i sets the check time interval (0 disable)
I´m living right now my first experience with a ext3 USB disk connected to the router. Yes I confirm fsck takes forever on my 120GB USB disk. How it will be run automatically? May be at startup after the dead line? Or it will automatically unmount the disk, run fsck and then mount it again? I just want to avoid problems in the future. Thx in advance.
