I'd like to add a custom page without password protection, where I can have general info print out for everyone on the network. From what I saw to far, the built-in webserver might be a bit limited / impractical for that…?
How do I best get started? Install an extra optware webserver?
I'd like to show…:
- The top cpu running processes
- The top ram processes
- Almost everything that's on the tomato status page, too
- Free / used / total disk space on mounted usb drives
- maybe more.
The first idea that comes to my mind would be using php & bash…:
- curl / html2tesxt on real status page
… and assemble to info to a simple html page.
Anyone a better idea or hints on how to go about doing that? I'm open to alternatives too if there's something simpler or better to provide this info the everyone on the network - grabbing the stuff as plain text over telnet client-side from a script server-side would be fine too - but here too, it should be restricted access to only that info / script and if possible without password.
