I recently bought an Asus WL520GU, and the first thing I did was flash it with with Tomato Ext-K2.4. Before flashing it, it worked fine: I could access the internet through the router and my modem, and I could access the admin page at 192.168.1.1. After flashing it, connection to the router became slowly worse. I now cannot access the admin page, ping the device, or reach the internet through it when using only wired connections - I've never been able to set up a wireless connection, but that's because I've never been able to save any new settings to the device.
At this point, I'd be happy just to get the old, original firmware from asus back. However, the firmware restore utility cannot 'find' the router to flash it, even when I follow all instructions for correctly resetting the device.
Therefore, I ask you: Is there any hope? How would you proceed in this situation?
