I would really like to have a family wiki to hold xmas/bday lists, vacation planning, etc. Wondering if anyone has managed to get either the MediaWiki or DokuWiki Optware packages to install on TomatoUSB. I tried years ago on an NSLU2 but it just fell over dead. Since the RT-N16 has much larger resources I was thinking of giving it a go but wanted to see if anyone else has tried.

Did you, or anyone else, ever do this? I'm setting up my RT-N16, and looking to run a few services on it. With the USB flash drive providing plenty of storage, and lots of free RAM, it seems like it should be a quite capable home web platform.
So, the two variables I'm looking at:
1. Which WWW server? What's the best balance of features/flexibility and low resource utilization.
2. Which Wiki? There are many options, and again it's a balance of features and low resource utilization. Dokuwiki and Mediawiki are great, but do they require a bunch of dependencies? On another system, I use pm-wiki. It just requires php, and writes the wiki pages to flat files. So, nothing extra is running when I'm not viewing/editing wiki pages. It gets the job done for the most part, but it's not the "best of breed" wiki either..
