I have a custom Asus theme that is zipped in a usb disk. I would like to add it to my rt-n16. I plugged the usb disk at the back of the router and it shows that it was mounted. I then went to Admin and chose custom.css. That is where I got stuck. Nothing happened. Any help on how to make this work would be apprecaited.

if you looked more closely you would see that the item says ext/custom.css. Try naming your file to custom.css and put it in the /www/ext dir which is a soft link to /tmp/var/wwwext. If you want to make it permanent there, you need to save it to nvram.
Does it look like this?
If so I have compiled a buid with this theme built in.
I edited my post to link to a VPN build I compiled to have this theme built in if you want to flash.
Thanks for the link. I would prefer to keep the USB port free for future use. I am currently running Victek mod without VPN. If I should flash to your build, would I have to do nvram erase and then manually reconfig or can I save my config file and restore after flash. Thanks.
I would recommend that you do an nvram erase and then manually reconfigure. I am not sure of the differences in Victek's mod as I have never used it.
