Is this enabled by default in build 53? The option seems to be gone under QoS settings.
I had always enabled it because I had read in dd-wrt that it helps when you have a FIOS connection and are using the FIOS router as a secondary router. But I can't notice any difference without it, to be honest.
And particularly note this:

So it was Rodney who started all this ! I read a thread on linksyinfo.com about it and recall very similar verbage, but wasn't sure if he was the culprit.
