I been messing with this the past couple days and out of ideas! I am currently running a Asus RT-N16 w/ 1.28.9052 MIPSR2-beta23 K26 USB Ext and having issues with +1000ms pings and dropped packets. I have 5 wireless devices on my network (2 with wireless N and the rest using G adapters). When the router is in Wireless Network Mode (AUTO) I begin to see high pings and dropped packets. When I switch the router over to "G ONLY" everything works great but would like quicker speeds if possible. I also have my devices with a Static DHCP. Things i tried so far is:
-Cleared NVRAM and entered everything in manually
-Unchecked "Use internal DNS"
-Set Transmit Power to 0 mw (HW Default) I also had this around 42mw and same issue occurs.
-Removed Static DHCP Devices
-Reboot router after changing settings
I am unsure if this is a bug or what but its very annoying! When pinging devices in Wireless Auto mode I see this issue with my Tivo (G) adapter and a popcorn Hour (N) adapter. The Wireless G mode is working great without changing any other settings. Is the router not switching properly between wireless modes or is it a setting that is causing this? Any ideas?? Any help is appreciated.
