I have a router given to me by my ISP and it has the ability to broadcast two seperate SSIDs. One for a guest network and one for a primary network. Is this possible to do via firmware or is this something that would require additional hardware to achieve?
If this is not possible would it be possible to set it up so that it will accept a WEP or WPA key for the same SSID?
The reason I ask is that I want my network to use WPA2 just because it's been set up that way for awhile now and all my devices are already configured. I have a few devices such as a Nintendo DS Lite for example that only allow WEP. So, I would like to keep everything else in my house doing WPA2 but my DS Lite on WEP so that it can get online.
I know to get around this I could just hook up another router, god knows I have plenty lying around, I was just curious if this was possible to do with my one router.
It's an Asus RT-N16.
