I was very glad to see a working k26 firmware based on tomato. I've been using tomato for a few years. One thing that the vanilla tomato didn't support was WPA2 Radius/Enterprise in client mode using WPA2-EAP with PEAP + MSCHAPv2. This is needed by the "eduroam" networks (some of you may know of them). In my case the radius auth details are described here.
In 2.4 kernels, there was an incompatibility with the broadcom drivers but it is working in 2.6 kernels in OpenWRT and using 802.1x when in client mode was not supported in tomato. I got it working using OpenWRT using wpa_supplicant and a 2.6 kernel on my old WRT54GS and WHR-HP-G54 (i used the brcm47xx branch of the OpenWRT 10.03 but 9.02 also worked).
In the k26 version of TomatoUSB, which I got working on the WHR-HP-G54, when selecting WPA2 Enterprise in client mode, I don't get the option to use PEAP and MSCVAPv2 and no identity and password fields. Is there a way to make this work? It should be possible. Can you think of a way to make wpa_supplicant work for instance?
Any ideas? I so want to go back to using tomato (OpenWRT has crippled the router in almost every other respect and it's just not productive)
