I was quite excited to see the following in the changelog for build 51:
- Allow to specify hostnames in addition to IP addresses for iptables rules (port forwarding, access restrictions, QoS).
I just updated from build 50 to 52 on an asus rt-n16 — I am looking at the web interface in the port forwarding section, and I do not see where I can specify a host name.
I have a DynDNS account that points to my router - and that much works just fine for resolving to my router from the outside world. Then I set up my vanity domain name with a couple of CNAME records that point to the domain I have with DynDNS. I can ping those subdomains (from outside) and they resolve to my router's WAN IP as hoped for. So i thought I would be able to use host name in the port forwarding to send inbound traffic on port 80 to two different internal servers - but the port forwarding configuration doesn't look any different than before. Am I missing something?
