I've been playing around with trying to get Optware working on TomatoUSB. The FAQ (at http://tomatousb.org/tutorial:optware-installation) says to just follow the DD-WRT instructions. Unfortunately when I installed that way I found a lot of packages showed "Bus error" or "Segmentation fault" immediately after starting.
I've looked into the MEGA and Valerakvb packages, but I don't like how those packages seem to want to reformat your hard drive before installing onto it. The drive I want to use is a 1 terabyte drive that already has a lot of data on it that I don't want to lose — I want to be able to set up an ext2 "partition in a file" and mount in through loopback for the /opt partition.
Anyone have any advice on how to get either the MEGA or the Valerakvb packages installed without a hard drive reformat? I've been considering installing them onto an old 20 gig iPod and then doing "cp -rav" to copy all the installed files onto my "real" setup, but I'd prefer to avoid an awkward solution like that if possible.
