I have a couple of ubuntu clients on my network, and I would prefer to use NFS instead of samba to access shares (it seems to make more sense to use a unix-unix sharing protocol than to have a unix server pretend to be windows, and a unix client also pretend to be windows). I got optware up and running (multiple flavors). unfsd3 is marked in optware as "not recommended", but I did get it to work — for a while. My client just cant see the exports anymore. I'm going to try the kernal module next — does anyone have any advice (preferably from personal experience) in setting this up on TomatoUSB?
I was using it while i had a wl500gp. Eating less resources and performing better than samba.
The modules/libs are from Oleg's new firmware which is sharing the code with Teddy_Bear's mod.
If it ain't working with the latest tomato, try to flash the latest oleg, there you can grab the newer necessary files.
Hope it helps.
