I've been using the K24 Ext build for a little while and I'm playing around with switching to the K26 Lite build. For my setup, I have an ext2 partition inside a 512meg file stored on my FAT32 formatted USB hard drive. i.e. I did something like this:
dd if=/dev/zero of=./opt.ext2 bs=1 count=1 seek=512M
mount opt2.ext -o loop /opt
On K24 Ext, this worked with no trouble. On K26 Lite, this failed because the loopback device is not built into the kernel. I noticed, however, that loop.ko IS available in the archive of "optional kernel modules" available on the download page. I managed to get the actual loop.ko file onto the router using SCP… But what do I do with it once it's on the router? The /lib/modules folder is read-only. How do I get this optional module loaded?
