I just set up Tomato on my RT-N12, and enabled the QoS setup. I primarily download with Usenet over port 443 (SSL), and wanted to be able to allow the downloads to remain and near full speed and then have them slow when other ports are needed.
The packets for the most part seem to be categorized properly (using Toastman's settings, SSL downloads get thrown into "Lowest"), and I have the limits set right (I have "Lowest" allowed to take up to 90% of my 4MBps line, and it does in fact do this, if I lower it my downloads are slowed as expected)
General web browsing seems to be fine and snappy, but when I go to bandwidth heavy websites (youtube was my main test so far), it does not at all work. I see Youtube packets in the QoS charts showing up (in the "High" section), but Youtube videos are constantly buffering, and my downloads remain running at a high speed throughout this time. I did set the priority section for youtube videos to be 95% of my total bandwidth (toastman's settings were based on a 16MBps line, but bigger).
Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing these issues?
