WEll in simple I juast flashed the new build (Ext) to my RT-N16, and all seems good, only thing I wish is that the Web Monitor could save a log to a external drive, or over the network.
I'd like to second the request for web monitoring / logging to USB / CIFS / network location automatically…. VERY useful tool, however, can fill up very quickly if you're looking out for some troubleshooting information (Asus RT-16N running Build50).
When setting up Logging (Administration - Logging)
Syslog: Internally and/or Network Location (via IP:Port)
Web monitor: RAM
Bandwidth Monitor: RAM, NVRAM, JFFS, CIFS, Custom Path
Would it not be possible to save these information sets to the same series of dropdowns? RAM, NVRAM, CIFS, USB (itself or via Custom), Custom?
A "nice to have", but definitely not a "requirement"… might be a Teddybear / tomatousb issue, might be a tomato issue…. Thoughts?
Im using this program to keep an eye on website pages my kids visit, I feel a bit strange doing it, can but they know that im seeing that list?
sorry for double posting - just to explain the feature request / wish:
Also "logs to email" option would be useful. I have this on old router - it sends regularly system logs to specified email address. so you can check the logs in your inbox or even from remote via webmail to see all is working ok…
Web Monitor Logging to Syslog will be very useful, will avoid the use of a proxy to know what happens on my network.
Thank you for the great work!
I second the Web Monitor logging to Syslog idea. Having all web requests along with the traffic they generated logged to syslog would be incredibly useful for developers when debugging and optimizing web sites.
